I like the weathered perch, propping tail, splash of red and the overall comp.
In a perfect world, would prefer the head turned a few degrees more away from us.

Ditto Randy, and I would work on the eye a bit as it looks a bit hazy..perhaps the nictitating membrane was partially covering it? I like the fall-like BG, I would only tone down the brighter green leaf in front of the subject's neck. Overall a great set-up.

Nice bird, perch, BG and comp. The nictitating membrane is half closed but easily fixed. Great job.

Very nice pose on your woodpecker, esp that tail. If you are not opposed to working on the eye, I think it would bring this image to the next level.

Love the pose. Exposure looks spot on. The background is too overpowering color and brightness
wise on this one imo. The partially closed nictating membrane is a bummer...
