Hello, I'm wanting to confirm that when I make micro focus adjustments on my 70-300mm (which I love!), I can always bring the adjustment back to zero which would be the "out of the box" original setting for the lens. In other words by playing with the micro focus adjustment I can always get to the original "default" setting for the lens. I'm thinking that would be the case. Thank you! Rog

And I believe that Canon says that the camera should be 50X's the focal length of the lens away from the target?? Thanks again....Rog

Roger,

Yes you can change it back just by going to the menu item and using the roller wheel to make a new setting. There is also a function to reset all micro adjustments back to zero since it stores each adjustment on a lens by lens basis.

Any adjustment made for one lens will not impact any other lenses you use.
