This one is from Jamaica Bay early one morning, several months ago. There's enough detail on the bird to warrant a crop, but I liked the sense of serenity in this full-frame shot so I decided to keep it uncropped.

D7000, 500f4 + 1.4, ISO 500, 1/2000s @ f/7.1 manual.

Bill, very nice. No need to crop. I like the feel of this one too. I would, however, consider lightening the image up some. A tad of CW rotation, and maybe take a way some from the bottom.

Great HA and the raised foot adds to the serenity of the scene. The comp is nice but you might take some off the bottom. Good exposure too. Well done..

I like the yellowlegs' walking stride and the water reflections on it's plumage. I agree with a bit of CW rotation, and I find the very dark ground at bottom visually too dominant (IMO). Always a fun subject to photograph!

I love the pose; raised foot and head angle are perfect. I do agree with the others about the dark ground.
