I finally got a chance to break out the camera gear last weekend! Spent some time photographing ducks in water reflecting some beautiful fall foliage. Here's an American Wigeon from my outing. A lower shooting angle was not possible.

Doug:
Lovely colors, the green on the head is great, the blue drop , all good.

I might consider cloning out the extra oval head reflection from bottom. If you have the canvas, perhaps a sliver more on both sides.

Cheers

Randy

Excellent image Doug. I like the water texture, IQ, exposure, eye contact and composition.

Doug, I like the iridescent green, and the pop provided by the white of the beak and the white feathers. The browns and golds reflecting from the water provide a wonderful setting for this beautiful wigeon. A beautiful image.

You captured this duck in lovely light, and I esp like the swirls in the water which give it quite an artistic look.

Fantastic IQ Doug. Reflection and water texture adds nicely. I like the water's rich dark colours, the duck stands out nicely.

Doug, this is a gorgeous image. The water takes it over the top. I really like the water droplet hanging from the duck's bill.

Hey - Either the original or repost works for me. Boy that 5DIII produces a silky image. The water texture is amazing. Love how you got the colors beneath the tail to come out of the shows, too.

Killer light and IQ, Doug.
The angle is fine, no need to get lower IMO,
you would lose that beautiful water in front.

Beautiful shot love the colours and the silky water ripples. I am not too sure about composition, I think I would like a little more space around the duck, he isn't absolutely central but I think he looks a little too centrally placed if you get my drift.

Regarding the low angle, do you use a right angle viewfinder? On a tripod, this would make for a lower angle. Opps, don't know why the image is in my reply?
