This photo was created on March 2 , 2011 . I was in a dry river bed ,the bank came almost to my chest .To get there I crawled some 100 yards on my hands and knees with camera. I knew the Turkeys were really close due to hearing them gobble . once in position I gave a lite yelp on a mouth call . A flock of Turkeys came into sight ,with three Toms in full strut ,and looking for the stranger in their woods . Feeling the need to get "SOMETHING " I fired a few shots . Amazingly the "Beep " of focus lock had the birds locked on and heading to my position . For what seemed like eternity ,the three Toms danced back and forth in full strut . One tried to peck at my head.....I just kept firing away . I ended up with a good number of photos . That was the first time of many to come . I still get so pumped every time I get close to Wild Turkeys I can't possibly explain .

Exposure Time 1/125 "
f/stop f/5.3

Focal Lenth 70mm

there was two bright spots on the left side of the frame . I cloned some from the right side and covered them up .I lightened the Turkey (Dodge tool )
usm ,worked the eye just a tad .

Yeah ,He's ugly !

Wow, Clyde, excellent portrait! He's gorgeous! I would be tempted to give a little more room front and back (you clip off those tiny feathers in the back of his head). What camera/lens were you using?
