During this season's fall color I met Paul Lagasi up in Ontario's Algonquin Provincial Park during the peak of the autumn colors. This is a small beaver pond alongside of Highway 60 where we stopped to grab a few photos.

Using the Live View feature I zoomed in on the beaver house and manually focused the lens.

Look forward to comments.

Loving the autumn/fall colours here, Andrew. Nice scene. On my screen it looks a bit 'crunchy' (oversharpened).
In processing, I would want to minimise the effect of the debris/gunk on the water and use a clarity brush in LR to decrease clarity and sharpness there relative to the treeline.
You seem to be enjoying the D800...:bg3:...this must look great at full resolution...

Hi Andrew - I like the colors and the scene overall. I agree with Morkel on the oversharpening as presented here. The pinks and reds really stand out.

Rachel

Hi Andrew

I like the image, its a nice scene and agree with comments already passed on sharpening. I will add that I am a little envious of the colours you guys get during "fall'. In Australia any colour change during autumn is a lot more subdued...

Beautiful shot. Love the scene. Really like the color and reflections. I too agree it may be a little over sharpened. Looks like you guys have great color up there. I am envious as well.

Thanks folks for the comments, much appreciated. I'll back-off on the sharpening a bit.

Hey Andrew,
Great colors as mentioned. You might consider a slower SS to smooth out the water....although tough with leaves. Nicely done overall.
