This was taken today in a local field. There were over a hundred Robins eating white berries. I set up near a tree that they sometimes landed and waited. I removed some twigs from the main branch and desaturated some of the bright BG. The BG is distant OOF fall leaves. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

This is an other example how beautiful common bird could be if photographed right.
Great work, Jim.

Wonderful shot.
Love the pose, excellent feather detail, great perch, and lovely background.
Well done.

I wish the robins over here would perch on branches. They just spend their time on the ground eating worms. :(

The backdrop compliments the Robins colours well, a really nice posture on this one and removing some twigs has certasinly made for a lovely clean shot...stunning !

Beautiful shot, clean and sharp. Lovely colors in the BG as well. The lower bifurcation of the branch is a little distracting.

Cornell ornithology lab is currently looking for American Robin Pics. This could be what they are looking for.

lovely classic image of a perching bird. The BG is great and really sets off the Robin. The little straggly bit under the branch could go, A nice sharp image which I think would look good in an frame on your wall.

The BG makes this shot!
I would sharpen the eye a little bit more but no one else has mentioned it so it could be me!
IQ is excellent,
Gail
