I've lost the grid on my 7D!

Greetings, excellent people. What I mean to say is that it used to be that there was a grid displayed in the viewfinder of my Canon 7D. I've gone into the camera's menu, and sure enough, the grid display is set to ON, and yet...no grid is there?! Has anyone encountered such a problem? I've always found the grid very useful for keeping that horizon straight...I would flip out from happiness if anyone could help me solve this problem...thanks for your time and consideration...

Jack, do you have a grid selected in the "Shooting" (red) menu 4 as well as enabled in the "Setup" (yellow) 2 menu?
