Another shot of the fungi, again a small amount of reflected light and I warmed up the colour temp a little.
All C&C welcome.

Lovely image, Jonathan. Didn't know you were a fungi specialist! I've been out today to Box Hill, Surrey in search of some images! I love the rich colours in yours as well as the mosses.

Thanks Rosie - the rich colours developed s I increased the colour temperature a little. I am not a fungus specialist, I am always on the look out but I usually spot them when I don't have my camera!

Hi Jon. Another nice take on these attractive little fungi! I like the comp and the moss in the background adds interest. Nice use of DOF to get the mushrooms as well as the moss sharp. The lighting is attractive, though for what it's worth, it is not as dramatic as your previous post. (You might experiment with a little more contrast to see if you like that better.) Overall, this is very nicely done!

This image really works for me, Jon. Love the contrast between the shrooms and that dark wood and BG.

I, too, like the diagonal composition. Lovely browns. Agree about the moss adding interest. Nicely done.

Hi Jon, love the detail you have brought out in this, together with the angle of the mushrooms. Good use of light to show them so well, and I like darker upper BG.

Wow, this is such a beautiful shot! I really love this photo...just about everything about it. Any chance you have a canvas print for sale? Wonderful work!
