This male was curious and came back again and again.

Hi Frank, Im glad your stonechats are 'tame'. I was 'trying to capture some yesterday, and as I got ready to press the shutter, they flew off. Good inquisitive pose, well exposed, and I do like the colour of your BG. If anything, I would remove the part of foliage below the tail, as it is not connected to anything in the image.

The beautiful sage colored background is perfect for this bird. Nicely done, Frank.

Beautifully exposed and fine detail, I like his pose and his fine whiskers.
I am inclined to agree about removing the branch beneath the tail, whilst it was there it does not add nor does it improve the image, I think it is a slight distraction.

Hi Frank, a beautiful subject, indeed. I sort of agree on removing the extra foliage, but it does provide something of a diagonal line, and balance to the composition. Well exposed, and a lovely background.

Lovely image and I find the RP lacks balance without the vegetation to the left.

Agree with Marina, Frame looks a bit empty. I somehow liked the first version more.

Ditto to Marina and Munish's comments - original post felt more balanced... and it is beautiful.

Excellent picture, Frank. I think I like the repost better; it draws all the attention to the bird.
