This was taken at a local conservation area. I had a short time with the nuthatch because a hawk flew in and scared him off. The lower branch he was on was broke off on the left side so I continued it to the end of the frame. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Nice shot. Love the curious perches of the nuthatch... Great boke, good details. There is a slight seam where the branch was extended...where those two flecks of white bark are on the original branch. Might touch that up a bit so its not obvious.

The pose is a lot of fun here! You've captured something of the bird's personality, which is no easy thing imo.
I enjoy the whole image, bg colors, composition/subject placement, interesting perch...
I'm not seeing the seam where the branch was extended?

Hi Jim, a fun upside down pose, and something different from the norm. Looks like this fellow has large feet, as they are tucked nicely around the perch. I do like the overall colours in the image, on the nuthatch and BG.

What a cool pose, but I have to admit it took my eyes and brain a few secs to adjust. Your BG is lovely. You did a great job on extending the branch.
