Malaysian plover. Notice the banding. It is a threatened species. They trap or mist net these guys and band them. I have seen them at work. Amazing how many birds they catch.

Wonderful shot! Great detail, great pose. He feels just a tad too far to the left in the frame, though. I like the shell in the foreground...nice touch.

Gorgeous and great IQ. I agree a little off the left would be good (halfway into the tail), and maybe some top and bottom. This guy deserves to be big in the frame!
