Hello everyone. Looking through some files and I found this shot. It was taken this past fall. There were two young coots following their parent's and this came in pretty close to me. Almost FF. Took some off the top and front.
C&C welcomed and encouraged.

Hi Robert, I dont think you could have exposed this any better, especially the beak. Your low angle works well, and with a good HA. Sharp, which in turn has brought out the finer detail nicely.

Robert,
Marvelous image.Very nicely exposed.I like the composition.
Love the great details, colors.lights, beautiful water rings in blue water infront of coot.

Perfect head turn and exposure is perfect.
Nice detail in the flank feathers as well,

Robert "

The lighter plumage in the juvi really shows up well here, with nice feather detail, head turn, overall exposure. Cropped a bit snug for my tastes, but I can understand based on what you had to work with.

Well captured.

I like the image a lot. It's too tight for my personal preference (especially on the bottom); however, the light is beautiful and the SH looks great.

Terrific exposure and details. Like those little ripples in front of the coot. If not for the young, I would have liked to see this with a little looser of a crop.

Very nice exposure, Robert, not easy with these guys.
Nice work.
