A really nice looking Monarch. Colors really standout from bg and perch is spot on as well. It looks like the larger of the two seed heads/flowers is in the fg and may have been hard to work around. A uniform bg would have topped this one up.

Hi Stuart. This nice monarch specimen is giving you a good pose on an attractive perch in nice light. If this was mine, I'd try to clean up the background in the lower half of the frame and maybe decrease the saturation of the greens a little. This is a strong image and I think it would be worth tweaking a little to make it even better! :S3:

Very nice shot Stuart, to my eye the greens are a little too saturated and I am wondering if your sensor is a little like mine in that under certain lighting conditions the colours go a little OTT - particularly in the greens.
I would agree with the previously mentioned comments and a little fine tuning will certainly elevate a very nicely detailed image.
