I cloned out a branch that came too close to his bill. adjusted lighting, sharpness and burned in some of the brightest areas. No color enhancement.

A lovely photo. Very sharp and a ton of detail. I like the composition as well as the perch. It looks like you need to go back and do a bit more work on the branch being careful around the bill. It looks to me like the NR could get another round as well.

Oops you're right. Thanks.

Bird looks killer. BKGR looks noisy and splotchy. I'd crop from both sides to get closer to 3X2.

Lovely bird and pose with gorgeous colors. Repost looks better, but I think I would start over from scratch working on the NR and then removing the branch. There is still quite a bit of "evidence" around the bill.

The bird looks good. I would prefer it if the perch ran slightly more parallel to the sensor, as I find the oof part bottom left a little distracting. Agree that the background looks a little blotchy and could do with a rework.

Bird is nice and sharp with good colours, but agree on the BG. Great shot though.

Hi Peter, lovely colourful iridescence on this fellow, and good subtle use of flash. Nice and sharp, and I like the angled pose. Repost is better, but agree working more on the BG wont harm the image.

Bird looks great. The background looks just a bit weird. Not sure that it's a noise/grain thing, though.
