Very nice pose and complimentary BG. I'm not familiar with the bird except by photos, but I'm guessing he's molting? I could imagine a version with a little less of the rock.

Bill, I'm not a bird specialist, I was thinking it is a juvenile because in other images I''ve shot (magnified 300%) the "edges" of the beak, at the base are thick and yellow. Thanks for comment.

Neat bird with a beautiful complementary background. I like the rock too. Id' take just a bit off the left side and a sliver off the right side to get closer to 3X2. In an ideal world the bird's head would not be turned quite so much toward us.

Agree with Artie about the head angle so turn towards you, but I would still be happy with this one. I do like the rock, and very nice clean BG. I would make the rock a tad darker.

Love the foot holding on to the top of the rock. Good techs and excellent details. Perch and BG look fine too. I agree with too much head turn (I usually do not like it when the far eye is just barely peeking - I'd rather more or nothing there). I like the crop as is, but I'm thinking something similar to the previous image you posted would have been even better. Sweet subject BTW!
