Some more monochrome action from the whitebacked vultures on the elephant carcass we saw in the Kruger Park last year.
All critique most welcome. :t3

Morkel - I like this one quite a bit more than your last one. I think it does a better job of telling a story. The outstretched wings of the vultures on top give the image a bit more of a dynamic feel, which definitely adds to the drama of the capture.

This one is really working for me, Morkel, much more so than the last one. This one really depicts a story whereas the last one I honestly wouldn't have known the vultures were sitting on a carcass unless you had told me. This turned into a feast!

Excellent behavior shot in B/W.Very nice to see so many together in beautiful panorama-crop composition.
White spots of sky in BG are looking little bright on my monitor.

Morkel, I agree with the above comments. I really like the B&W presentation. Some how it seems appropriate to render vultures in monochrome. If you have it, I might be inclined to show more space at the bottom so the clipped vultures are fully shown.

I think this one creates the effect you were going for. I also think its better than the last one in comp and making for a moving scene. Very Nice.

The use of monochrome here makes the image stronger and sinister.
Its a really great composition and the more i look the more I see.

Prehistoric and wonderful. But Andrew has nailed the very big problem: cutting off birds and feet on the bottom frame edge.... I am guessing that you do not have any more room down there.....

Hi Mork, another great conversion, and good to see the details of the vultures. No doubt with that bunch around, the carcass didnt last long.

Thanks for the kind feedback everyone.
Artie/Andrew - I think this is FF at the bottom, but I might be wrong so will have to check the RAW file again... :e3
