Couldnt go out to shoot birds in a long time. Making do with what I have around me here.
This is the closest I have gotten to this bird so far.
7D, 100-400 @ 400, 5.6, 1/160 Manual mode. Cropped for composition. Some selective sharpening.

A sweet pose and a nice depiction of enviroment here. Shows the crown very well. the whites look a bit too bright on my screen and I would try to reduce the warm cast just a tad without loosing the mood/ambiance.
excellent work TFS

Nice portrait. I agree with Arash regarding the 'color cast'. Also, the foreground stems are a bit distracting.

Thanks Arash , SAtish, I will work on the cast.

Thanks Miguel, I know they are a little distracting but I wanted to keep it that way as I thought they added some detail to the habitat.

I like this alot. Awesome details. The habitat looks great, I love hoe you have framed the subject wiithin the vegetation. I could see a version with about 40% of the space above cropped away, and I'd be tempted to tame the bit of brighter spot on the cheek directly below the eye. Nicely executed image.

Teriffic portrait. Very nice light, excellent details, love the eye contact, and I really like the habitat.
Well done.
