Hi Ian,
I like the composition and detail in your image. The light on the mountain is beautiful. My concern is for the blown highlights in the sky and this can easily be corrected by either split processing or the use luminosity masks together with curves and levels adjustments. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Hey Ian,
I do think if you tone down the sky a bit, it will improve the overall look of this. I think the comp is VG as is the light in the canyon. One of the hardest places to photograph IMO as you really need the right conditions!

I agree, the sky needs more work. If the HDR output is not correcting the blown sky, use the image with the best sky and layer it this this result.

what a grand scene!
in addition to the sky as noted above, I will add some contrast to the FG (particularly midtone contrast)
