Here's another one I photographed last week whilst in Wales. I really liked how these ran in and out of the waves, almost like they didn't want to get their feet wet. Processed in DPP and PSE 10. Canon 7D, 100-400, F8, 1/500, +1ev.

Nice low angle and soft blue water.
I would take a bit off LHS and clean up the 4 spots in the water in front of the bird.
I would also add a bit of saturation.
The wing and back feathers seem a bit soft,

You describe the Sanderling's behaviour perfectly :-) Good exposure and sharpeness looks OK to me. With the light coming from a hard left waiting for a head angle more towards us may have given you the benefit of the face catching more light.

Thanks for feedback. I did think about a slight cleanup on the water. I'll take a look at that. Thanks Daniel for your comments. Ive definitely learnt a lot from this forum. Looking back through my images 6 months ago, there's a huge improvement, so thanks for all the advice.
