Canon 1D Mk 4 - Canon 500mm + 1.4 - SS 1/2000 - F 7.1 - ISO 320 - Tripod used
Managed to get away to the Wild Coast in South Africa and had a great time shooting Terns, like the image for it's simple head on pose :-)

Hi Craig, I like the bird and the pose but not the image design. Right in the middle would work better for me here. And it looks as if the WHITEs on the flank could use a bit more density.

Is this a Swift Tern or a fast flying tern?

Your sharpness is excellent. Like Artie I'm not crazy about the placement of the bird in the frame. I also agree with him about toning down the whites. I would have preferred a bit more eye contact too.

Arthur this is a common resident (along the South African coastal area) and is know as a Swift Tern or (Thalasseus bergii)
