Love the way the sand acted like a big reflector as this guy flew overhead.

800ISO f5.6 at 1/2500th
300 F4 with 1.4
AP at plus 2/3

Nice even illumination as mentioned. I love to shoot in the winter to get the same fill effect off the snow/ice.

Nice wing spread, no merge of bill.

For personal taste, I might consider cropping from the top a bit.

Joe, Nice exposure..reflected light from sand definitely helped here..shooting angle is not my fev..but sometimes we have to take it..you did well to avoid beak merging with far wing.

Nice BIF shot. Beautiful adult. Nice bounce light. Great exposure and HA. I would also take some off the top. Good Job!

You did a good job getting nice details under the wings. Comp doesn't look quite right. I would take a chunk off of the top.
