Wood storks at SA Alligator Farm. Canon 40D, Canon 100-400 IS. 1/800, f/6.2, Canon 100-400 IS at 400. Thanks for looking.

Funny, I just post another Woodie right above this.
Great interaction with clean background and well exposed. The head angle on the left one could be a little better.
Nice whites!

Critique nailed by Fabs. Were these on top of one of the big oak trees???

Thanks for the comments, Fabs and Artie. Unfortunately, this was the best head angle I got of the two, but I was happy with everything else here. Artie, these two were on the dead snag about halfway down the boardwalk where the spoonbills usually come in. I've never seen wood storks land there before, but it made for a better setting.

Thanks for the info Cindy. I did not seem possible that they were on top of the oaks as (as Alfred noted) the angle of inclination did not seem all that steep.
