B&H has a great deal on the Lexar Professional 32GB 1000x UDMA 7 cards. They're normally $234 to $237.95 and now they're only $132.24. These are fantastic cards for those of you using the 1D-X and the 5D MkIII and the D800, among other cameras. I own this card already and ordered another when I saw this deal.

Look at the comparison tests. This is a fantastic card and this price is great:

There on backorder, but, if you can wait a little bit, this deal is too good to pass up.

Thanks Dave. Two packs are even cheaper.

got the cards today, I can get about 24 RAWs with the 5D3 (NR/DLO etc. off) before it slows down and then it clears rapidly. It brought the camera to life!

With the MK4 I can get 44 RAWs at 10fps!

An excellent buy!

Thanks for the feedback Arash. That's consistant with my experience.

Everyone, these are great cards and the sale ends on the 31st.

I have seen first-hand problems with Lexar cards and Canon cameras. These could be different.

Please elaborate John.

I've taken over 100,000 shots with various Lexar CF cards with no troubles at all.

The problem is a well-known one and manifests itself in lost images. I have seen it with some of my ship passengers. A Google search of "Canon Lexar problem" produces a shed-load of hits. As I mentioned, it is likely an issue with certain combinations of Lexar cards and Canon models. It is unlikely that the problem occurs with all combinations. A common theme in the Google hits is that the problem is rare. For me, rare is too much where this is concerned so I just stick with San Disk.

Those problems were in 2005!!! Have fun with your San Disk.

All I can tell you is that I saw this in 2010 with a modern Lexar card and a modern Canon body.

Mine just arrived today. Hoping to do some testing a little later.

I "broke in" the cards today. 1500 frames 1D4, mostly bursts, so far so good. noticeably faster than San Disk card, did not hit the buffer limit.

Got mine yesterday and did some quick test. I don't see any difference in the number of frames per burst between the Lexar and my "old" Sandisk Extreme Pro 90 MB/s UDMA 6 - both get about 27 RAW files in one burst. Obviousely very different to Arash's findings - not sure why...:2eyes2:
