I was a little too close and only had the 500mm with me, my son had the zoom, consequently I had to add a little canvas - hope it doesn't show??

Looks good here. Light seems a bit harsh , but handled very well. Love the action captured.

Excellent image of bathing Avocet.I like the open beak and motion blur in wings with water flash.
I could see the added canvas because you said it,otherwise difficult to find out.

Nice Bathing shot. Light is a little harsh but the action and water flying make it a good photo. Good job.

Lovely action frozen, love the crisp detail on the water drops and light, the prominent beak also looks nicely lit, If it were me I'd just slightly lighten the facial area to give a little more detail to the eye , whites just verging on being hot, but acceptable I think especially considering the bright siunshine

Thanks for the C&C everyone, I had already lightened the head and eye a little bit but I agree if the eye was a bit brighter it would be an improvement.
