Unfortunately (for us) due to very good rains the grass was very long in Uganda, this made it virtually impossible to get images of this beauty which were clear of pesky grass even on the head.
This one was taken in Toro-Semliki Reserve, Uganda, 19th June 2012

Very nice and clean portrait, with overall very good quality and good BG. Fore some reason I thing If it was a predator everyone would say WOW (me too- I guess :e3) - I think it is very lovely displaying all the other animals too. So thanks for that.
I like it.
Cheers, Gregor

A lovely study here - good detail and clarity.
Love the texture of the horns.
Is the nosetip in focus on the high res?

Thanks everybody for commenting, much appreciated.
Gregor,
Thank you for appreciating the "lesser" animals, I think variety is very important and like to share my luck. The grip of the "Big 5" is everywhere:w3
Morkel,
Are you trying to indicate in a roundabout manner that the nose is OOF.

Nice pose and good BG. DOF and fine detail looks good...Have you considered a CW rotation to make it upright and straight in the frame...Just a thought!

Dumay,
If you could see the whole of the image you would see he was leaning backwards, hence the folds in the skin at the bottom of his neck.

Uganda Kob, one of the beautiful antelopes. Thanks for posting this. I love the white neck.
