Hi Ian. A nice scene here.
I like the clarity and the diagonal ridge - a strong element especially with the jutting rocks.

I lacks some punch and it seems to lack some sharpness in the midground and background - perhaps you didn't focus to hyperfocal distance or perhaps your sharpening after resize wasn't optimal?
Never be afraid to stop down to f16 or f22 for optimum DOF in landscape shooting.

In this repost I did the following:
1. added local contrast by running Nik Tonal Contrast at 100% opacity and all sliders at 13-15.
2. added some saturation
3. added some sharpening to the midground
4. burned shadows and dodged highlights a bit selectively through brushing

WDYT??

Thanks, Morkel. Unfortunately, I didn't have my tripod with me, so my landscape imaging suffered from my inability to stop-down sufficiently. It also explains why I was shooting at ISO 800 (this was sunrise).

I like your addition of contrast and saturation, but feel you may have oversharpened it a bit. I'm going to go back and play some more. Thanks for the tips!

Beautiful scene and Morkel add some good punch to this image although the sharpening is a bit overdone IMO... TFS.

I agree. I'm going to go with the excuse that I did it late last night and my eyes were tired. :e3

Agree with the comments re the repost, excellent apart from the over sharpening. Nice scene.

I am liking Morkel's repost of this well-composed (strong diagonal - interesting FG - detailed sky) images. Doesn't look oversharpened to me.

Stunning array of color in this and a sky to die for imo, rework has certainly given it more punch...very nice with lots to hold ones attention
