Another fine example of why Zebras need more subspecies, these are supposedly Burchell's, yet have different stripe patterns and a shorter mane, oh well I am not a scientist.
Taken in Kidepo National Park, Northern Uganda, 16th June 2012

Always like to see zebras, interestingly the burchell's zebras in Meru NP have no mane at all. You are right, many variations.

Ken - nice position of all 3 in frame and good dof. Interesting to see.

Hilary and Rachel,
Thanks for commenting, and showing interest in something slightly different:cheers:
I also liked the fact that each Zebra was in a different pose.

Interesting 'subspecies' Ken :t3.
Nice poses...perhaps could use a slight toning down of the brightest highlights...
Ideal crop would be to lose the bush at the top but then you chop up that OOF zebra on the LHS.
Is it Kidepo or Kipedo NP? I've seen you use both variants in your posts... :e3
