Nik Color Efex, Topaz simplify, a couple of Shadowhouse textures, lots of tweaks in CS5.

This is a winner, Maureen! I really like the combination of colors and the composition! The is a great example of a piece that has great comp with or without the chop! I like the bold placement of the chop but I see many other spots that you could place it also, because the piece is so balanced on it's own, IMHO! As for the chop itself, I am not sure that the sharp angles, which are a huge contrast from the soft curves of the plant, is working the best. Maybe a chop with an oval boarder or rounded corners would fit you subject better. Play with that, this piece is worth the fine tuning!

Thanks, Dan. I'll work on the chop. I have to admit, it looked kind of odd to me when I put it there. I'll try a softer approach. Thanks for your help!

Maureen, I love the muted color tones and the shadowing! I thought the chop looked good but I like the idea of softening the edges, it makes sense.

Very different, Maureen...and right in step with the theme. Soft colors, well-placed chop (although I like the suggestion made), tight composition....nicely done.

Maureen, I love this! Especially the effects you got and the muted colors. And you don't look "chop challenged" to me:t3

This is simply lovely. The muted blues are perfect with the other monochromatic colors. I love the shadowing effect.
