My first (image) post here, but a lot of friends and familiar faces. Nice to see everyone, and best wishes to all!

Took this from the Hooptie with CSO Jim (you're welcome for the nic ;) ) back over the summer, but have yet to share this image on any site thus far. Had a very busy end of year.

Nits known: more room in front, of which I do have a version with more room already done (and printed) (and love it), but sourcing this from my server, and don't have the time to edit right now.

Original Capture Date/Time: 2007:05:27 08:09:52
Make: Canon EOS-1D Mark II N
Model: Canon
Aperture: f/5.6
Exposure: 1/2000
ISO: 400
Focal Length: 700/1

Sweet! I love the lighting, color, wing position, plumage, and the dark bg. Well done and no nits not already covered by you. It would be nice to have the tech details though.

Very nice image. I like the vivid color of the spoonbill and the wing position. The detail in the small hairs on the base of the neck is an added plus.

Hi,

This is a very nice image, the exposure, details and colors are fantastic. I wish more room to the right of the frame.

Hey Ed,

Red carpet welcome to you!!!

You picked a stunner for your first post, those wings are stunning and so is the little pink feathers out of his neck.

When you find the canvas on the right, find some more for the bottom for me :)

Great having you!!!!

Aside from being tight in the frame and the darkish BG I like everything about. Good to see you here, Ed!

What an entrance.

The light is perfect (rare). Sharpness, exposure and wing position could not get any better.

I feel that more room all over would improve this already strong image.
