Hi Vivaldo, I always critique a picture with the idea of framing it and hanging it on the wall of my home. I really like the colors and tone that you have captured in this picture. As for composition I would like to crop this picture within an inch of both sides of the background mountian range. The other way I visualize this picture is a panorama, but not by croping - but by compressing original picture from top and bottom.

Thanks Rob, I also visualize a pano of this scene, would work very nicely.

Vivaldo,

This is magnificent capturing as it does the essence of the Namibian dessert, I am sure there are many ways to crop this but personally I would not like to take any of it way

A gorgeous scene Vivaldo - typical Namib-Rand area. I like the comp as is...but feel the colour is a bit off...too much magenta.
What do you think about this repost?

1. Color Balance - adjusted towards red, yellow and green (away from cyan, magenta and blue)
2. boosted saturation a bit
3. ran Nik Tonal Contrast, sliders at 13, 30% opacity

Good tweaks by Morkel. I like the composition as presented - Interesting FG, middle ground arrangement balances well with the mountains. slower shutter speed imparted nice flowing look to the clouds.

looks good Vivaldo...mine has a bit more contrast but that's all personal taste, you were there :5

This is really nice and certainly gives a wonderful feel of place. Think both reposts work although I like the contrast in Morkel's but that is, as he says, a taste thing.
