On this image the chick is swimming towards the safety of its mother.
They showed no fear at all so much so, that they both fell asleep after a while and were floating only a few feet from the canoe.

Very nice image! Graet sharpness on the adult's head with lovely detail. The Canon 70-200 f4 L IS with the 1.4 looks very good in here.

The chick works much better in this one, even turned away, you connect with it being able to see the eye.

Mom is sharp, well exposed. Nice head turn.

Really bright eye. You were lucky to get such a vivid red, often it is more muted unless the light is just right.
