One from earlier tonight. 3 1/2 out of 5 head-angles was the best I could get!

An impressive image!! 1/400 with the 800 from a kayak!! I have no problem with the HA of all five. Some of the white on the chicks look a bit hot and I think it needs some CCW rotation.

this is sweet, love the family. You nailed this one for sure. my only suggestion is the same as Ofer re toning down the whites on the chick heads
fantastic

What a nice family ! Color is very nice on both birds and surrounds, whites look fine on my monitor. Liking especially the little one peeking over the parents back....does it need a very slight CCW rotation though, the water seems to be running slightly uphill, or is it an optical illusion

Nice documentation of a lovely family! Having and using an 800mm in a kayak seems like an impossible fantasy. I commend you so very highly! You get a most appealing low perspective for these waterbirds. It must be a thrilling experience...

Awesome family portrait... HA not a big issue for me. Agree with Ofer's suggestions. Great capture in any case.

Great image Jeff! I like the composition, BG, low angle and reflections. I agree with Ofers suggestions.

Nice one Jeff, the low angle really makes this shot. I also like how each bird apart from the front chick has a catch light.

Exposure on mum and dad's neck area from reflective light very is sweet, well done mate.

Thanks for the comments everyone - much appreciated.

On the CCW rotation --> if you run a line between the distinct features of any of the birds (i.e. the tip of the adults bills) and their resulting reflections, you will see that the image is, in fact, level. I think that because of the stagger of the birds, the resulting wake is giving the illusion that image is not level.

Excellent shot. I really like the poses on all five birds, great light, excellent comp, and wonderful background.
Well done.
