This was taken back in February in Florida. Cloned out some white wash in front of the owlets. Thanks to a fellow BPNer for telling me where to find them. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

You did a really good job with these owlets, and this was NO easy shoot. I like seeing the downy feathers in the moss above the chicks!!! Looks to me as though you got some great details in the feathers. The only thing I can say is that my eyes are yearning for a tad more saturation in the owlets. Really well done, Jim.

I agree about a bit more saturation, but it is a very nice photo with nice surroundings for these guys.
Hard to get nice open shots of GHO nests, although I can see from the SS of 1/30
that there was not a lot of light which is also pretty common.
Nice work.

Nice perch and poses!
Great job with sharpness at 1/30 second.

Might consider toning down the URC a bit to blend better with the tree bark.

Jim - nicely captured, with good detail in the soft feathers. I like the stray feather above. Good suggestions above for improving an already good image.

An awesome duo, Jim and what a cool crib they're ensconced in. Terrific image.
Details are excellent. Very nice execution in a low light situation.

Somebody should inform the Owls overseas that they are meant to be nocturnal lol

A bit more color saturation as well I think....but I'm just envious of daylight Owl shots.....truly lovely image, what a pair of cuties

Jim:

You were blessed with a clean shot at this guys and made the most of it, despite the low light

Sharp, like the transition from fuzz to feathers shown, nice job cleaning up the wash.

Well done.

Cheers

Hi Jim, I like how both owlets are framed nicely in their nest. Good eye contact from both, and good plumage detail too. Great that you had them in the open.
