Here's an image from our trip last year to the Maluti Mountains which I'd like some honest feedback on. Does it work as presented ito composition?

It's a zoomed in close-up of a sandstone buttress that was visible from the mountain slope where our cabins were situated. These mountains bordering Lesotho in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in South Africa are famous for these formations. The weather was gloomy and misty and I had to put back a lot of blacks and midtone contrast to get it looking like this (it was pretty washed out).

Techs:
Canon 40D with 70-200mm f2.8 L IS USM @ 200mm
f8.0 @ 1/250 SS @ ISO-400
Handheld, full frame

Morkel, I don't think the nearby rock outcropping needs it, but I would suggest LCE on the BG.

I like the detail in the outcropping and how it points into the image - good leading line.

Hi Morkel, agree with Roberts comments but due to the lighting the image looks flat..

Hi Morkel

Nice composition and lots of interesting landscape to look over. I agree with the background being 'washed out' a little more than I would like..
