Looks like you had some difficult light to work with here Danie. Overall I think you have handled it pretty well although there may be a few hotspots along the back and on the bark. I really like the way the angle of the light makes the individual hairs stand out! Sharpness and pose look good to me. I also like the blue and green BG. Just personal preference but I think cropping a little extra space of the left would improve the image. Thanks for sharing!

Michael summed it up pretty well. Just to take this image to next level, I would add little more light on the subject's face with dodge tool and take a bit off of the left. Here is my version and hope you dont mind.

Hi Danie and a warm welcome.

The advice given sums things up nicely, and Sid's RP has illustrated where it needed to go as an image. The only addition I would make is just watch the sharpening, on the OP the bark above the squirrel is a little to sharp IMHO and therefore at times it's worth, 'selectively' sharpening key areas.

I quite like the almost pano crop of the OP...the light does seem a bit strong. Sid's repost has handled the exposure on the face which was the first thing that struck me.
