I Went back to the storm ravaged beach Sunday morning. There were 6 pp that I saw, one of which was sitting on a nest. There is still hope for a crop of youngsters this year.

This guy was bathing. I watched it for 5 minutes. I liked this shot the best.

Nice light and comp. The water drops are a plus which add alot to this image. Water color is beautiful.

Love this little guy, plus the soft light, silky BG, ripples and flying drops. Nicely done.

Very nice light and and I like the sand and water merge on the right.
I would rotate image clockwise very slightly.
Soft pastel blues of the water are lovely,
Gail

Beauty shot, Allan. The bird and the water both look great.

Beautiful image Allan. Agree with Gail on the rotation. Lovely warm light. Could the head use just a touch more sharpening?

Nice capture Allan. Love that low angle. Flying droplets tell the story.

Cute !...just a slight rotation needed as mentioned...I do like that powder blue color in the water and of course the sparkling water drops

Thanks for all the comments. I do not want to add more sharpening on the head. I did add a bit already and think it is enough.
I rotated the image based on the bird but now realize I should have done so based on the land. Some may say this is obvious, but the puddle was in an area of sand sloping down towards the water.

Allen little late but love the light and bathing pose here...If we look at bird it looks fine but if you look at the overall image it requires slight rotation as suggested by Gail. I usually try and find balance in such scenarios. Well done.
