Dan:

When I looked at the thumbnail, it looked for all the world like an airplane with an engine on fire trailing smoke coming in for an emergency landing!

I think it is safe to say this one is in your face!

Good job keeping this guy in focus as he came head on at you.

Now that I know its not smoke (:bg3:) I would probably use the clone stamp to tone down the white areas in the background.

Cheers

I agree with Randy about toning down the whites.
Excellent capture-it is so hard to get a tack sharp head on an incoming bird. But you did it!

Dan - at least his talons weren't out as he came towards you. Good suggestions above and good job keeping the focus.

Certainly coming right at you and a very nice incoming pose. Nice to see both wingtips. Maybe a bit of color cast? If mine I might try reducing the blues or magenta to see how it looked.
Very well done.

Look at the stare...Lovely image and I second the comments for toning down whites in BG.

Strong head-on look at this powerful raptor. Great job keeping the head sharp.
+1 to removing the magenta cast.

Hi Dan, good head on capture with good eye contact. I like the symmetry of both wings, and although I feel the whites dont need to be toned down, I would maybe blend in some greenery in that area. :w3

Great shot - congratulations, I agree regards add a little more canvas and brush over the pale areas to blend in a little more.

Nice one, Dan -- how close did it come to you? No talons down....did it flare for a strike?
I too see a bit of magenta.
Nice capture!
