Feathers are my passion and the reason I love birds. Birds and feathers are one and the same to me and I cannot imagine my own life without birds, or more accurately, without feathers.

Once ranging as far north as Minnesota, the American Swallow-tailed Kite is now restricted to a few southern states, especially Florida. Habitat loss due to changes in land use is the primary culprit for the reduction in breeding range.
